Chinese warships have departed for a “security” exercise in the Sea of Japan with Russian naval and air troops.
Since Moscow’s incursion, military cooperation between China and Russia has increased as seen by the drill.
According to China’s defense ministry, the flotilla, which included five warships and four ship-borne helicopters, departed from the eastern port of Qingdao.
Earlier this month, two Russian vessels that were taking part in the exercise trained separately with the Chinese navy in Shanghai on formation movements, communication, and maritime rescues.
Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov, the commander of the Russian navy, and Li Shangfu, China’s minister of defense, reaffirmed their commitment to expanding military ties during their meeting in Beijing this month.
